Born from a Holy Frustration
Melanated Academy was founded because we refused to accept a false choice: rigorous academics OR cultural identity OR biblical faith. We said yes to all three.
Founded by Christian educators, parents, and community leaders who believe in the God-given brilliance of every melanated child, Melanated Academy was built to fill a gap that too many families have felt for too long.
Our students don't have to code-switch inside their own classroom. Here, their heritage is honored, their history is told truthfully, and their faith is nurtured — all while receiving world-class academic instruction that prepares them for any college or career.
